CONVERTER BENEFITS: Price
Converter will convert either CSV or DBF data to the data that can be used by
the Helium / Pacor Rough Analyzing software. ACTION: The
following utility is used for converting Standard Rapaport files into OctoNus
Price file format.
Two
file formats for Rapaport files are available. They
are Comma Separate Values (*.CSV) and FoxPro Database File (*.DBF). CSV FILE FORMAT

HELP STEPS: 1) Paste your
latest Rapaport files into one folder. 2) Start Price
Converter utility. 3) Select your
Folder path where you have copied those price files.
4) Click DBF
button if you have DBF file otherwise click CSV if you have CSV files.
Once
you click this button, it will read and convert your file into XLS format.
This Excel file is saved in the Application folder with the name “price.xls”.
If
any changes are required, they may be made now. Like,
you may add and change the clarity grade / color grade nos. and description. Example: I4_, VVS1+, PQ, etc… 5) Click
6) Select your
pricelist to convert into OctoNus Format.
7) Click to

text files with name as displayed in list.
9) Copy these
files into your pricelist folder from where your Helium Rough/ PacorClient /
Oxygen Inclusion program reads. FAQ: WHAT IS USE OF
PRICE.XLS? Price.xls
is the main file using which Price Converter Utility prepare OctoNus format
price file. It Contains following Data.
User can add more color and
clarity to this file accordingly which he/she has to change Format values.
User can use Clarity as VVS1+ but can’t VVS1-. For this, user needs to use as
VVS1_. HOW CAN USER SET
DISCOUNT? User
can deduct discount from original price files before writing in to OctoNus
format. Make a copy of price.xls with name Discount.xls. Price.xls
contains price in dollar where as Discount.xls contains discount values. Price.XLS

HOW DOES IT WORKS ? When utility starts converting data
into OctoNus format, first it reads data from price.xls and then from
discount discount.xls. It multiplies both the data and writes into price
files. Example: Color: D, Clarity: I3, Weight: 0.08 to 0.14 Price.XLS: 320, Discount.XLS:0.65 -------------------------------------------------- Results: 320 x 0.65 = 208 (35 %
discount) NOTE: - While using the discount.xls, please
