Lexus-OctoNus L-BoxDJM will help diamond and jewelry manufacturers address this need. This Light Box will allow the manufacturer to prepare images and movies for the diamond and diamond jewelry.
Technology :
This new Light Box builds unsurpassed 2D and 3D movies in an HDR environment that shows diamonds brilliance and or its fire by taking successive images.
These movies can be played with a special OctoNus stereo viewer or DiamCalc or Apple QuickTime movie viewer. By playing more than one diamond side-by-side any buyer can easily make an informed comparison.
Movement to replicate movement of the diamond or the viewer are controlled by a 2 axes Gonio and related software. Various lighting temperatures, direct and diffused sources and LEDs can be independently controlled to create a reproducible range of illumination environments. A selection of loose stone holders is offered for convenience.
Which Diamond / Jewelry pieces are suitable for movie making? Every piece of polished loose diamond can be held in the fixture to create the movie. Holders for rings and ear studs are included in the cost. Special fixtures can be developed to picture large jewelry pieces like Bangles, Neck lash, etc.
Which Camera and Lens will be used? We have developed our hardware & software based on Canon DSLR camera and Macro lens. We will supply you the detail specification of the camera and lens, which needs to be bought and supplied to us, to build the complete system. The system will be installed on your computer.
